Just wondering if anyone double booked a property while waiting for payment via check? In my few months of using BV I received my first double booking because of a guest payment method preference. Looking for a solution,I can not have this happen again.

It is a trade-off between blocking dates while waiting for a check to arrive/clear, or leaving those dates open. If you leave them open, someone else may come and book the same (or even just overlapping) dates. If you block them, then if the check never arrives, or bounces, then you may have lost potential alternative business.
This is why so many property managers do not accept checks, at least not for the initial payment.
